What a full audit covers & how to use the results

Any one of our individual tools tells you about one thing — your meta tags, or your heading structure, or your images. A real page usually has small problems in several of these at once, and they compound: a slow page with thin meta tags and a broken redirect chain is a much harder page to rank than one with a single, obvious issue. Running everything together is how you catch that a fix in one area (say, page speed) might matter more right now than a smaller issue somewhere else.

How to use the results

Start with whichever card has the lowest score and the most issues — that's usually where the highest-impact fix is. Fix it, then re-run the audit on the same URL to confirm the score moved before working through the next one.

What does the Full Site Audit actually run?

It runs 33 separate checks against your URL back to back. 24 are free and visible right away: meta tags, heading structure, page speed, image alt text, robots.txt, structured data, Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, redirect chains, sitemap, canonical URL, favicon coverage, mobile-friendliness, accessibility, SSL certificate, mixed content, hreflang tags, broken images and links, AI crawler access, anchor text, security headers, email deliverability (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and custom 404 handling. 9 more advanced checks — blacklist status, DNS/SPF/DMARC records, domain age, IP & hosting, keyword density, readability, detected technology stack, text-to-HTML ratio, and a real Core Web Vitals run from PageSpeed Insights — are run at the same time but unlock once you enter your email. It's the same checks as our individual tools, just run together in one pass so you don't have to run each one separately.

Why does it take a while to finish?

Each check fetches your page live and analyzes it — running them all in parallel would risk your server rate-limiting or blocking the requests. We deliberately space them out so the audit is reliable rather than fast but flaky. Your page itself is only actually fetched once per run (every check re-uses that same cached copy), so most of the wait is about pacing requests, not re-downloading your site 33 times — the one exception is Core Web Vitals, which runs a real PageSpeed Insights/Lighthouse pass and can take 30-90+ seconds on its own, which is why it runs last.

What counts toward the overall score?

The overall score is the average of every check that returned a real pass/fail score. A handful of the advanced checks (DNS, domain age, IP & hosting, detected technology) are lookups with no score to average — informational, not something to be graded on — and a firewall-blocked check is excluded rather than counted as a zero, so the score reflects what we could actually verify.
